Graeme Brock - Senior Leader
My role: I have the privilege of leading the team here at CCC. I’m paid to preach, to dream, to get momentum, to get cohesion and to worry.
Basic Bio: married to Michelle 16 years, 5 kids. Planted a church in Masterton called the Tribe and came back to lead CCC in 2009. Have a theology degree through Laidlaw Bible College and have a passion to see the church on Sunday connect with Monday in a far greater way, Christians to connect with their life purpose and to see that all of life matters, to see non-Christians to connect with God.
This month I'm:
Reading -‘The Triumph of the City: How our greatest invention makes us richer, smarter, greener, healthier and happier.’ by Edward Glaeser, ‘Holy Trinity, Perfect Community’ by Leonardo Boff, ‘Jerusalem’ by Simon Sebag Montefiore, ‘How the mighty fall: and why some companies never give in’ by Jim Collins.
Listening to – The cricket and enjoying the black caps doing well – long may it continue.
Watching – The New Girl & Person of Interest, Tintin, the Wellington Phoenix play great football.
Eating - I’m loving putting Tabasco sauce on most things – ummm the heat it tingles the tongue.
Thinking about - A theology of city – I’m interested how the bible narrative starts in a garden and ends in a garden city with the New Jerusalem coming to earth. History ends with a city built around God and what implications are there for us being a church in the city. What would the perfect city look like, feel like be like to live in. How would life be organized and how would the city be governed? What about the culture and the arts? The Sports? The architecture and the town planning? The environmental aspects? Work?

Thinking about this quote: Acts of obedience allow our faith to intersect with Gods faithfulness. It is at that intersection that we see god work. And when we see Him work, our faith gets bigger (A Stanley). Also doing a bit of a word study on the Tenderness of God. The word has been beautifully stuck in my head and heart.
